ESIC – Reconstitution of Internal Complaints Committee in connection with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013
ESIC issued Memorandum vide No.37/ESIC/MHWADIVIN-VIG-23/SEX-HARR/COMM/2014/12653-65 Dated 01st November, 2018 regarding Reconstitution of Internal Complaints Committee in connection with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Work Place (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 and details as follows.
Consequent upon completion of 3 years of two members as members of Internal Complaints Committee, Competent Authority by exercising the power under section 4(1) of Sexual Harassment of women at workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act 2013 has reconstituted Internal Complaints Committee to provide protection against sexual harassment to women at workplace and for the prevention and redressal of complaints pertaining to Sexual Harassment of women employees and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto as under:
- Dr. Chitra Prakashkar, HoD (Paediatrics) – (Presiding Officer)
- Dr. Manpreet Gill, IMO – (Member)
- Sh. Dharamvir Singh, Deputy Director – (Member)
- Ms. L K Patel, I/c DNS – (Member)
- Ms Margie Parikh, Lecturer (B K School of Business Management) -(External Member)
The Presiding Officer and every member of the Internal Complaints Committee shall hold office for such period, not exceeding three years, from the date of their nominations.
The Internal Complaints Committee shall in each calendar year prepare an annual report under section 21 of the said act read with Rule 14 which shall have details of number of cases filed, if any, and their disposal under this Act.
