Jeevan pramaan for the existing pensioners have to be uploaded afresh through mobile app of UMANG from 1st November 2017
The EPFO vide circular No.pension.I/17(10)2016-17/Jeevan pramaan/15960 dated 03/11/2017 said that attention is drawn towards instructions issued regarding uploading of Jeevan pramaan for continuance of drawal of pension under Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995. Following instructions have to be completed in time bound priority basis in this regard
- Jeevan pramaan for the existing pensioners have to be uploaded afresh through mobile app of UMANG from 1st November 2017 in addition to the existing provisions for online uploading.
- Aadhar seeding in respect of members under EPS 1195 have to be completed at the earliest in a time bound manner for which online facility is available in EPFO portal. Facility in mobile app UMANG will be made available shortly.
To facilitate the field offices for accomplishment of the above jobs, it has been decided to allow the field offices to capture the required data on the mobile sets with device to be owned and maintained by the field officers. Therefore it has been decided that field officers may purchase dedicated mobile sets of appropriate specifications compatible with finger print capturing device compatible with dedicated apps of UMANG for uploading of Jeevan pramaan and also for seeding of aadhar in respect of pensioners and members under the EPS, 1995.
Each office may purchase one set (mobile and finger print capturing device) for every ten thousand pensioners and fraction thereof with the limit of maximum 10 for any office excluding district offices. Each district office will have exclusive one set of above devices in addition to the devices for regional offices.
The facility of uploading of Jeevan pramaan for pensioners and seeding of aadhar for all members under the EPS 1995 through UMANG may be given wide publicity. Each office may take the help of different associations, labour unions etc under their jurisdiction for publicity. Official with mobile and finger print device may be deputed for old/sick pensioners who are otherwise unable to submit digital life certificate in the office or the camp so organized.
